Visit cpkcr.com to learn about the CPKC advantage, our purpose and culture.PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:The Manager Financial Reporting leads the team that coordinates month end close activities, prepares monthly consolidated results, prepares external financial disclosures related to Non-GAAP measures, as well as maintains working relationship with cross-functional teams.POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:Oversee the month end close process to ensure a timely closeOversee the consolidation activities and execution of the plan with multiple internal stakeholders that provide information into the consolidation process or require its output to drive alignmentReview journal entries, consolidation entries and reconciliationsReview procedures performed on periodic journal entry testing for control purposeReview external financial disclosures related to Non-GAAP measuresOversee accounting for a joint venture and the related statutory auditMaintain exemplary relationships with the multiple internal stakeholders that support the close internal and external reporting processIdentify, analyze and reconcile inconsistent information and recommend adjustments where necessaryLead or support team projects and initiatives including quarter end and year end external reporting and management reporting, process documentation, data management and system optimizationCoach, supervise and develop direct reportsAssess and research implications of significant financial transactionsEnsures financial reporting is in compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), tax or securities regulation as applicable and SOXAddress and respond to queries from auditors and internal reviewersPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:Accounting Designation required (CPA; CPA, CA)5+ years of relevant experience required (public company external reporting or audit, desirable) with a minimum 2 years leadership experienceKnowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements applicable to public companiesPossess a strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to set and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWHAT CPKC HAS TO OFFER:Flexible and competitive benefits packageEmployer Funded Retirement PlanEmployee Share Purchase PlanPerformance Incentive ProgramAnnual Fitness SubsidyPart-time Studies ProgramADDITIONAL INFORMATION:As an employer with North American presence, the possibility does exist that the location of your position may be changed based on organizational requirements.Drug Test Elements:CPKC is committed to the safety and health of its employees and the general public.
