Adecco is seeking a Materials Control Manager for a great Lawrence
company.A This is a direct hire position. The Materials Control
Manager who will be responsible for providing leadership, control
and vision driving accurate and timely inventory management and
reporting. The objective is to reduce inventory levels while
improving the in-stock position. The relevant priority will be to
assist the balance of demands in the manufacturing plant while
achieving Company goals.
This is a Full Time, Direct Hire opportunity working for a leading
manufacturing company offering a highly comprehensive benefits
plan. Salary is dependent on experience. This position reports to
the Director of Supply Chain.
Responsibilities & Activities Performed:
Plan, direct and control the flow and level of inventory in each of
the company¿s retail centers, plants and alternative customers.
Manage and oversee the Distribution Requirement Planning
process.
Propose and implement key strategy inventory initiatives for the
Company.
Understand all aspects of the Oracle / Distribution Requirement
Planning (DRP) software application as well as developing and
constantly refining a DRP implementation approach to field
inventory management.
Provide analysis and recommend corrective actions to reduce
inventory variances.
Understand forecasting module used and propose forecasting
strategies.
Plan new product rollout schedules for the plant, corporate and the
field to utilize.
Implement new technologies.
Coordinate with Customer Service and Production Planning and
Scheduling to determine if manufacturing will be able to meet the
field requirements.
Minimum Qualifications Preferred:
College graduate in business management/material flow majors
8 to 10 years experience directly related to the activities and
responsibilities specified here and above.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to work effectively
within a team environment
Strong technical skills with aptitude to learn and implement new
technologies
Proficient to expert use of spreadsheet, database, presentation and
work processing applications are required.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to conduct independent research, gather and analyze
data and arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations and plans of
action.
