OfficerFLSA: ExemptPay Range: 95K + DOESUMMARYThe Director of
Information Technology is responsible for overseeing IT functions,
managing technology operations, implementing new IT systems, and
ensuring effective functionality within budget and time
constraints.BASIC FUNCTIONS AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee Technology Operations:
- Evaluate and manage all technology operations, including
network security, business intelligence development, help desk, and
hardware & software infrastructure.
- Assess performance against established goals.
- Policy and System Development:
- Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support upper
management's strategies.
- Analyze business requirements across departments to determine
technology needs.
- Equipment and Software Management:
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of IT systems to
support business operations.
- Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment
and software.
- Inspect existing equipment and software to ensure functionality
and efficiency.
- Identify the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems
and report to upper management.
- Microsoft Systems Administration:
- Administer and support Microsoft systems such as Active
Directory, Exchange, Office, etc.
- Configure and maintain security access.
- Administration of user accounts (additions, deletions,
modifications), email accounts, and antivirus settings.
- Microsoft Software Usage Maturation and User Education:
- Implement a Microsoft software roadmap for the deployment and
integration of Microsoft software solutions.
- Create Microsoft software training materials as needed.
- Conduct or oversee vendor training sessions to ensure users are
proficient in utilizing the Microsoft software stack
effectively.
- Staff Development:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of IT professionals,
including system administrators, network engineers, and help desk
technicians.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on
delivering high-quality IT services.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive
feedback.
- Identify training needs and organize relevant workshops or
courses.
- User Support and Training:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to
end-users as needed.
- Budget Forecasting and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage the IT department budget, including
forecasting, planning, and expense monitoring.
- Optimize spending by prioritizing critical projects and
cost-effective solutions.
- Cybersecurity Management:
- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and practices to
safeguard the organization's data and systems.
- Monitor network traffic for security threats and respond
promptly to incidents.
- Strategic Planning:
- Align IT strategies with overall business goals.
- Identify opportunities for technology-driven innovation,
efficiency, and growth.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
- Establish and maintain disaster recovery plans to minimize
downtime during system failures or disasters.
- Test and update recovery procedures regularly.
- Ensure business continuity by implementing backup solutions and
redundancy measures.
- HIPAA:
- Serves as the HIPAA Security Officer.
- Other Duties as AssignedORGANIZATIONAL
RESPONSIBILITIES:Physical Expectations:This position requires
extended periods of sitting with some periods of walking and
standing. It may also require bending, kneeling, and/or stooping
and climbing stairs. There may be extended periods of using a
computer and/or calculator.Working Conditions:Office environment
with noises from people, appliances, telephones, and other
occupational noises depending upon the job
placement.QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a
relevant field.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
- Proven experience as an IT Director or in a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills for system analysis, implementation,
and evaluation.
- Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software),
networks, database structures, etc.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
- Must not have been convicted of any disqualifying felony and
must not have been substantiated for abuse or neglect in the state
of Missouri, as recorded by the Department of Mental Health's
Employee Disqualification List.
- Must demonstrate safe practices in all areas and exemplify
positive professional standards.
- Must obtain a Class E driver's license during new hire
orientation - must carry minimum coverage applicable by law for
auto insurance.
