knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Outreach
Women and Children's Coordinator functions as an educational and
clinical resource for community hospitals, physicians, and other
professional staff. -
- Act as a liaison between OPRMC and the community.
- -Services include an on-site assessment and development of an
individualized plan specifically tailored to the facility. -
- Comprehensive education such as AWHONN Intermediate Fetal
Monitoring, STABLE, NRP, simulations, and didactic education.
---Development of curriculum tailored to individual hospitals.
- -This position will include travel within approximately 100
miles for the purposes of face-to-face meetings for external
marketing and business development.
- -Complete follow-up meetings to review new or additional
needs.
- -Prepare monthly reports detailing sites visited, recommended
educational plans, and conversion rates for non-HCA attendees
attending HCA-sponsored programs. -What qualifications you will
need:
- Bachelor's degree required. Graduate degree in healthcare
related field preferred.
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the
state(s) of practice and / or has an active compact license, in
accordance with law and regulation is required. -
- Certification is preferred in at least one of the following
areas within 12 months of hire: -

- Inpatient Obstetric Nursing, Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing,
Maternal Newborn Nursing, Nursing Professional Development, Women's
Health Care Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Family
Nurse Practitioner, or other Perinatal / Obstetric / Neonatal
specialty-related discipline. -
- BCLS recognized by AHA required within 30 days of hire.
Demonstrates knowledge and practical application of theories and
principles of adult education. Experience in education preferred,
but not required. Demonstrates professional growth, initiative, and
creativity. -
- A minimum of two years clinical experience in NICU or Obstetric
Nursing. Experience in teaching in an academic or healthcare
related field preferred. - is a 340+ bed facility offering acute
medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County's only
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have
an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a
premier area destination for Women's & Children's healthcare
services. We offer the region's only Maternal Fetal Health Center
to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital
has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III
NICU. We have four emergency rooms, including a dedicated Pediatric
emergency room and two freestanding ERs located in Olathe and
Shawnee. Each year our colleagues treat over 45,000 patients.
