Overview: This position has a $20,000 sign-on bonus. This position is Full-time Night shift, 7 pm to 7 am. Know Your Rights: Responsibilities: Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The Med/Surg RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment, ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients across various medical and surgical units.
  
  Key Responsibilities:
  --- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on the medical-surgical unit, adhering to established protocols and standards.
  --- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients with diverse medical conditions and post-surgical needs.
  --- Monitor and document patients' conditions, vital signs, and progress accurately and promptly.
  --- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures safely and effectively.
  --- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to optimize patient outcomes.
  --- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
  --- Respond promptly to patient emergencies, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Qualifications: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State. 2. BCLS upon hire and maintain current. 3. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred. 4. ACLS within 30 days of hire and maintained current.
