Innova Solutions has an immediate need for a Director of Software Engineering to work mostly onsite in Kansas City MO!
Job will be mostly onsite, local candidates are required
Ideal candidates will have background in SDLC, ERP, EHR, CRM etc., and may have had previous hands on coding experience
Previous billing systems, claims, insurance, healthcare, EDI experience would be preferred
The role will be standing up a team, building out a brand new team and will have 6-10+ direct reports, both onshore and offshore.


Responsibilities:Build, manage, and maintain a high-performing, accountable engineering team.
Develop and execute business operational objectives, product roadmaps, and technical specifications.
Oversee the successful completion of departmental goals, strategies, and budgets.
Interact with customers to understand product requirements and ensure delivery excellence.
Analyze operational metrics and reports to make data-driven decisions and process adjustments.
Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
Provide strategic oversight for engineering budgets and ensure accountability across teams.
Evaluate team performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement corrective actions when needed.
Stay current with industry standards, programming languages, and best practices to drive innovation.
Develop and maintain knowledge of business operations, workflows, and communication standards.
Serve as a hands-on technical leader when needed, with the ability to develop and review code.

Required Skills & Expertise:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of programming leadership experience in building web-based enterprise software.
Strong technical knowledge in Visual Basic, ASP, HTML, SQL, .NET languages, Java, Angular, React, or similar frameworks.
Deep understanding of SDLC, Object-Oriented Programming, and workflow development cycles.
Proven ability to drive operational and process improvements with measurable results.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of industry and department standards, company policies, and employment regulations.


Preferred Experience:Familiarity with ERP, EHR, CRM systems, or related technologies.
Expertise in billing systems, claims processing, healthcare, insurance, or EDI.
Strong business acumen with a general understanding of business terminology and operations.


PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
