Job Description:
OverviewThe position is responsible for all aspects of material
scheduling for the production of industrial batteries and ensuring
of shipment of batteries to the customer. This position is also
responsible for the inventory management of the distribution center
operations.ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully an

- Manage all supporting functions within the materials discipline
including the scheduling, ordering, receiving, and the releasing of
schedules to support assembling, forming, finishing, and shipping
of product.
- Manage and provide direction to the distribution center
manager, supervisor and supporting staff. Assist distribution
center manager, create and maintain the budget for the distribution
center inventory.
- Communicate with production, safety, quality, and engineering
to maintain high level of focus with all customers.
- Implement lean initiatives to reduce inventory. Control
inventory to reduce variances.
- Ensure all requirements reflect proper and correct lead time
and quantities expected to fulfill the daily production of
cells.
- Verify that all requisition of materials used in the assembly
and finishing are processed in a timely manner.
- Participate in daily production meetings at which scheduled
performance is monitored from generated reports.
- Review open purchase order report to verify that all receipts
have been processed in a timely manner, all late items are being
expedited and any residual requirements not needed to support
production are closed out monthly.
- Process cycle counts as required in a timely manner to correct
inventory errors caused by incorrect report, keying, or disposition
of materials received.
- Manage OTD performance levels to constantly improve upon
customer service levels.
- Establish and modify operations and goals towards improving
plant profitability in all areas.
- Promote cost reduction opportunities and delegate
responsibility for action.
- Encourage communication between the manufacturing plant and DC
to facilitate on time shipments.
- Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the
organization's policies and applicable laws, which include but are
limited to; interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning,
assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing
complaints and resolving problems.
- Develop and maintain close communication with vendors.
- Assure performance of job responsibilities are within Sarbanes
Oxley requirements.
- Responsible for maintaining local scheduling and reporting
systems.

environmental, health, and safety regulations. QualificationsTo
perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to

- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
- Minimum five years of manufacturing / materials management
experience at the plant level; preferably in the Industrial
Manufacturing industry; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
- Strong computer skills in Excel and Access and must have MRP
systems experience. JDE experience preferred. Basic understanding
of databases, SQL preferred.
- General knowledge of logistics preferred.
- APICS CPIM certified or working toward certification
- Complete knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies
and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Extensive knowledge of material work planning and methods
engineering processes and procedures.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or
employees of the organization.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including the
ability to deal effectively with individuals at all levels of the
organization.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Experience and/or training in Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience with ISO quality standards and statistical process
control.
- Language Skills -Effectively communicate with co-workers,
customer and management. Ability to respond effectively to the most
sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to read and interpret
documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and
interpret graphs.
- Reasoning Ability - Ability to use scientific problem-solving
methodology.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to interpret
a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or
schedule formTRAVEL:May be required to travel to other Stryten
Energy locations, customer and vendor sites. Travel as
required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job,
individual is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to
finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
Individual is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and
stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to regularly lift a minimum
of 40lbs on an occasional basis. Regular use of required PPE.
