Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coding Specialist responsible for
coding, auditing, and entering surgical and procedural data.
Key Responsibilities
Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with
regulations
Communicate with physician practices to gather necessary
documentation for coding
Participate in ICD-10 readiness initiatives
Required Qualifications and Education
High school diploma or GED
Three to five years of multi-specialty coding experience
Current AHIMA or AAPC Coding Certification(s) CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or
COC
Ability to code high severity and complex cases
Experience with Epic, 3M encoder, and Microsoft Office applications
is preferred
